AFCON 2015: Draw Set for Wednesday in Malabo, Group A to Be Based in Bata
The draw for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) will take place this Wednesday in Malabo, the capital of Equatorial Guinea, the host nation for the tournament. While the composition of the groups remains unknown until the official draw, it has already been confirmed that Group A, which includes the host country, will be based in Bata, the second largest city in Equatorial Guinea.
According to Radio France Internationale (RFI), Bata will also host the opening match and the tournament final, making it the centerpiece of the 30th edition of Africa’s premier football event.
