Nigeria Confident as 2015 AFCON Qualifiers Get Underway
Nigeria will kick off their 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying campaign with a home clash against Congo, followed by a crucial away fixture against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana. As reigning African champions, the Super Eagles enter the qualifiers as clear favorites in their group, determined to defend their title in Morocco next year.
Midfielder Ejike Uzoenyi expressed strong confidence ahead of the qualifiers, particularly in Nigeria’s upcoming match against South Africa. Speaking to Kickoff.com, Uzoenyi said: “Nigeria are the best team in Africa and we are traveling to South Africa to beat Bafana Bafana. We are the best and you can’t take that away from us, we are the best in Africa. We have incredible players who can do extraordinary things with the ball.”
