Beaten by the narrowest of margins last weekend in Nouakchott, Mauritius is gearing up to secure qualification this Sunday. Akbar Patel, the Mauritian coach, acknowledges that the task ahead will not be easy. That’s why three attackers have been added to strengthen the Club M group, aiming to maximize their chances.
“We are under pressure. The game is within reach, but we must score and prevent conceding goals. It’s evident that the opponent will seek to exploit any weaknesses. We have taken the right steps. Learning from the previous match has given us a much clearer understanding of our opponent’s strengths and weaknesses. We will deploy tactics to gain an advantage,” asserts the Club M coach, emphasizing the team’s preparedness.
“We are committed to delivering a strong performance. The players understand the significance of this match for two reasons: securing qualification for the next round and the opportunity to participate in more international matches,” he concludes.
