Mali Face Tough Test Against Algeria in CAN 2015 Qualifiers
The atmosphere will be electric this Wednesday as African stadiums host the second round of the final stage of the CAN 2015 qualifiers. In Group B, the Eagles of Mali travel to Algeria to take on the Fennecs at the Mustapha Tchaker Stadium in Blida.
After a confident 2-0 victory over Malawi on the opening day, Mali — led by Franco-Polish coach Henri Kaspercsak — face their first major challenge in the campaign.
“We expect a difficult match against a good Algerian team,” said Malian striker Mustapha Yatabaré. “We have prepared well for the occasion and we will do our best to bring home a good result.”
Like Algeria, who enjoyed a packed stadium for their win in Addis Ababa against Ethiopia, Mali aims to continue their strong start in the group and make an impact in this crucial clash.
