2015 AFCON Draw Set for Today in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea
This evening, Africa turns its eyes to Malabo, the capital of Equatorial Guinea, for the official draw ceremony of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). The event begins at 6 p.m. GMT and marks a major step in the road to the 30th edition of the continent’s biggest football competition, set to take place from January 17 to February 8, 2015.
Renowned journalist and broadcaster Robert Brazza will host the ceremony, which will be graced by African football legends such as:
Mohamed Aboutreika (Egypt)
Alphonse Tchami (Cameroon)
Shakes Mashaba (South Africa head coach)
The draw will also be held in the presence of:
Equatorial Guinea President Teodoro Obiang
CAF President Issa Hayatou
To add a cultural touch, legendary Cameroonian musician Manu Dibango will provide musical entertainment.
The event will be broadcast live on the CAF YouTube channel and through Africa Top Sports’ social media platforms.

Equatorial Guinea was awarded the hosting rights after Morocco withdrew due to Ebola-related concerns.
