AFCON 2015: CAF Announces Official Seedings Ahead of Draw in Malabo
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released the official seedings for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), set to take place from January 17 to February 8, 2015, in Equatorial Guinea. The tournament was originally scheduled to be hosted by Morocco, but CAF withdrew its hosting rights after Morocco refused to hold the event due to Ebola concerns.
🏆 Seedings for the Draw:
CAF divided the 16 qualified teams into four pots, based on the performances during the last three AFCON editions (2010, 2012, 2013), their qualifying campaigns for 2012, 2013, and 2015, as well as results from 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
