Alain Traoré is confident ahead of Burkina Faso’s first match against Lesotho in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers this Saturday. He says the Stallions have a strong squad and are well prepared to put on a good performance at home in front of their fans.
Although he’s not very familiar with Lesotho, Traoré has studied their play, having watched their match against Kenya in the preliminaries and gotten insights from his friend Jordan Ayew, who faced them. He notes that Lesotho’s Likuena tend to defend deeply in groups and rely on counterattacks. Burkina Faso’s key will be to start strong and make an early impact to control the match.
Sounds like they’re ready to hit the ground running! Are you following the Stallions closely this season?
