Great news for the Algerian women’s football team as the Football Federation has decided to re-enter the women’s selection for the qualifiers of the next African Cup of Nations in 2014, which will be held in Namibia. This decision comes after previously discontinuing the women’s selection.
A training course will be organized at the Sidi Moussa Technical Center, bringing together 40 players to better prepare the team for the qualifiers. The Algerian women’s team, currently ranked 22nd, will face the 7th-ranked African team, the Lionesses of the Atlas of Morocco. If they pass this stage, they will play against the winner of the confrontation between Egypt and Tunisia.
The first leg is scheduled for Algiers on February 13 and 15, with the return match two weeks later in Morocco.
