A delegation from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) is set to visit Algeria, specifically Oran and Aïn Témouchent, on November 19 and 20 for an inspection of the infrastructure intended to host the Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN). The delegation, led by CAF Secretary General Hicham El Amrani, will assess the readiness of the selected stadiums for the competition. Notably, repair work is ongoing at the Ahmed-Zabana stadium in Oran.
The Under-20 CAN for the year 2013 is scheduled to take place from March 16 to 30. Eight countries, including Benin, DR Congo, Mali, Gabon, Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria, and the host country Algeria, will participate in the tournament. The upcoming inspection aims to ensure that the facilities meet the required standards for hosting the competition.
