The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) Leopards are considering adding a friendly match against Gabon to their preparations for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN). The possibility was mentioned by Modeste Nzil’a Fanan, the head of press for the DRC national team, who stated that the Gabonese federation has asked for a match, and it’s up to the DRC to respond. If confirmed, the match could take place around January 14 during the Leopards’ training camp in Oman. The DRC is in Group B of the 29th CAN alongside Ghana, Mali, and Niger.
