Arthème Awumey-Zunu Sélagodji, the Togolese Prime Minister, attended the Togo Sparrowhawks’ training session on Thursday and conveyed a message from the President of the Republic to the team. After being welcomed by the president of the Togolese Football Federation (FTF), Gabriel Ameyi, the Prime Minister delivered the message, emphasizing the support of the Head of State, the government, and the entire nation for the Eperviers.
The Prime Minister encouraged the players, stating, “First, I would like to tell you two things, first of all, please yourself. If you please yourself, you will please the country. Know that the nation is behind you. You only need to be told it for you to feel it yourself. If you have fun, you can be sure that you will win. You are professionals. It’s you who will make the match, and we support you; the nation is behind you. I would like to tell you that the Head of State, the government, and the entire nation are watching you, supporting you.”
The captain of the Sparrowhawks expressed gratitude for the Prime Minister’s presence at the training session.
