Following the draw for the CAN 2013, the national team selectors have immersed themselves in preparations for the upcoming competition. However, communication between coaches from qualified teams has proven to be a challenge, with difficulties in reaching each other via phone.
Togo’s coach, Didier Six, candidly admits that he and his counterparts have encountered hurdles in maintaining communication. He reveals that he and Vahid Halilhodzic, the coach of Algeria, engaged in a conversation before the draw but have not communicated since. Six suggests that the demanding nature of their respective roles and obligations in their home countries might be a factor. Despite the lack of recent communication, Six acknowledges that the coaches will inevitably meet during the second day of the group stage. In the meantime, everyone remains focused on their responsibilities and preparations for the upcoming tournament.
It’s worth noting that Togo and Algeria find themselves in the same group for CAN 2013.
