CAN 2013: RANT FROM THE NATIONAL ELEPHANT SUPPORT COMMITTEE

The president of the National Elephant Support Committee (CNSE), Perfect Kouassi, expressed his deep disappointment with the performance of the Ivory Coast national football team (Elephants) in the quarter-finals of the CAN. The Elephants were eliminated from the tournament, falling short of the expectations of their supporters.

Kouassi criticized the players, stating that he felt they did not give their all on the pitch and lacked combativeness. He considered the team’s performance a betrayal to the supporters, especially since the players had promised to give everything in their pre-match comments. While refraining from delving into technical aspects, Kouassi emphasized his role as a supporter and conveyed the collective sense of letdown among the fans.

The Ivory Coast’s elimination marked a significant disappointment for football enthusiasts in the country, and the president of the CNSE expressed the frustration and disillusionment felt by supporters who had expected more from their team in the competition.
