The Togo national football team, known as the Hawks, traveled to Oman for a friendly match against the Omani national team as part of their preparations for the CAN 2013. The team, led by coach Didier Six, left Lomé and reached Oman via Accra. The match in Oman is the first in a series of preparation games for the Hawks, who will also face Niger on January 5 in Niamey. The team is gearing up for the upcoming African Cup of Nations (CAN) tournament.
