The Niger national football team, known as the Mena, is set to travel to South Africa on Tuesday as part of their preparations for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) 2013. Following their victory over Togo in a friendly match, the team, led by coach Gernot Rohr, will face Burkina Faso in another friendly on January 10 and then play against a South African selection in Port Elizabeth on January 15. Additionally, a return match against Togo is scheduled for January 8 or 11. Niger is drawn in Group B for the CAN alongside Ghana, DR Congo, and Mali.
