Following the draw against Liberia in Monrovia (2-2), Nigeria is facing uncertainty about its form ahead of the return match in the CAN 2013 qualifiers. The Liberian government has promised a substantial bonus for the Leones Star in the event of qualification. However, Nigerian coach Stephen Keshi does not believe it is appropriate for the Nigerian authorities to offer a similar bonus. He emphasized that while money is needed for the players and officials, the primary motivation at the moment is the desire to return to the African Cup of Nations after missing the last edition. Keshi stated that the main source of their determination is the aspiration to be among the best in Africa, and any bonuses would come later.
