It seems that the coach of the Algerian national football team, Vahid Halilhodzic, is expressing dissatisfaction with the decision of the African Cup of Nations (CAN) 2013 organizing committee regarding the training facilities for the Algerian team.

The organizing committee allocated the Moruleng stadium for the Fennecs’ training sessions, which is located 30 km from the Algerian team’s hotel. Halilhodzic finds this decision unacceptable, citing the significant distance and the intense heat as challenges for the team. He expressed his frustration during a press briefing at the Bafokeng Sports Campus, the location of the Fennecs’ training camp in preparation for the CAN.

Halilhodzic mentioned that he would have preferred to stay at Bafokeng Sports Campus, which would have avoided the long commute to the Moruleng stadium. However, the team had to vacate the complex to make it available for the Ivory Coast national team.

Despite having booked the Bafokeng Sports Campus before the Ivory Coast team, Halilhodzic expressed disappointment that they were required to leave and make way for the Ivorian team to use the facility.

This situation highlights the logistical challenges and frustrations that can arise during major tournaments, where multiple teams are accommodated and share facilities. The concerns raised by Halilhodzic underscore the importance of efficient and fair planning to ensure that all participating teams have optimal conditions for their training sessions.
