The Minister of Youth, Sports, Culture, and Arts of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Baudouin Banza Mukalayi Sungu, has assured that the players’ bonuses and proposals for CAN 2013 will be settled before the competition begins. This announcement comes in response to concerns raised by the national team’s players, who had boycotted some training sessions due to unpaid bonuses. The minister’s statement aims to address these issues and ensure a positive atmosphere for the team as they prepare for the tournament in South Africa. The DRC is scheduled to play its first match against Ghana on January 20, followed by matches against Niger on the 24th and Mali on the 28th in Group B. The government is keen on a successful campaign and is also considering a bid for the organization of CAN-2019
