Despite the challenges and controversies affecting Togo’s preparations for the 29th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) in South Africa, Togo’s coach is determined to field a strong team for a competitive performance:
“As a coach, my job is to build a good team, and that’s what I’ve been able to do by managing to qualify the Togolese football team for the next CAN,” the Togo coach stated. He acknowledged the past problems between players and the Togolese Football Federation (FTF), mentioning that the Prime Minister intervened to resolve the issues. The coach assured supporters that Togo would have a mentally and competitively prepared team for the tournament.
