Jonathan Pitroipa’s presence in the final of the 29th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) has been confirmed. CAF (Confederation of African Football) canceled the second yellow card that was initially given to the Burkinabé player during the semi-final against Ghana. The Tunisian referee, Slim Jdidi, who made the decision, was suspended by CAF. Pitroipa’s crucial role in Burkina Faso’s journey to the final, including scoring the only goal against Togo in the quarterfinals, makes his presence significant for the Stallions in the final against Nigeria.
