The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and South Africa, the host country of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), have revealed the stadiums that will host the tournament. The competition will take place in five stadiums with varying seating capacities:
- Moses Mabhida Stadium: 62,760 seats
- Royal Bafokeng Stadium: 42,000 seats
- Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium: 48,459 seats
- Mbombela Stadium: 43,589 seats
- Ellis Park Stadium: 60,000 seats
As of the announcement, 40,000 tickets have already been sold for the tournament, which is scheduled to take place from January 19 to February 10, 2013. The defending champions are Zambia, who won the 2012 edition of the tournament.
