Camil: Comoros-French right-back joins TA Rennes on free transfer from Rayo C

Comoros and French right-back Camil has joined TA Rennes on a free transfer from Spanish side Rayo C. The 21-year-old defender returns to France after a season in Spain, strengthening the back line of the National 2 outfit.

Camil, whose main position is right-back, signs for TA Rennes after spending the 2025-26 campaign with Rayo C, having arrived there following a short spell without a club. His move marks the latest step in a career that has already taken him through youth and development squads in France, Belgium and Spain.

The defender previously featured for Deinze U21 in Belgium and came through the ranks at Rennes U19 earlier in his career. He left Rennes U19 in 2022 and, after a period unattached, joined Deinze U21 the following year before moving on again.

Camil has built up competitive experience across youth and reserve competitions, with more than 20 appearances at under-19 level in France and further outings in the Coupe Gambardella and National 2. He has also had a brief taste of senior football abroad, including minutes in the Ykkosliigacup.

The Comoros-French defender now links up with TA Rennes ahead of the 2026-27 season after completing his free transfer from Rayo C.
