Cameroonian striker Wilfried Nathan Doualla joins Al Merrikh SC on three-year deal
Cameroonian forward Wilfried Nathan Doualla has officially completed a move to Sudanese giants Al Merrikh SC after leaving Canon Yaoundé.
The 20-year-old striker is set to begin a new chapter in his career in the Sudanese Premier League following several seasons in Cameroon’s Elite One championship. His transfer was confirmed on Sunday 21 June by Al Merrikh SC, who secured the services of the promising attacker on a three-year contract.
Doualla will remain with the Sudanese club until 2029 as Al Merrikh continue strengthening their squad ahead of the upcoming campaign.
The move marks the first experience abroad for the young Cameroonian international, who developed his game in Cameroon before attracting interest from clubs outside the country. Known for his pace, movement and attacking qualities, Doualla is expected to add energy and depth to Al Merrikh’s frontline.
During his time with Canon Yaoundé, the striker established himself as one of the club’s promising young talents in the Elite One league. His performances earned him recognition at international level and ultimately opened the door for a move to one of Sudan’s most successful clubs.
Al Merrikh SC, a regular contender in domestic competitions and continental tournaments, will hope the arrival of the Cameroonian youngster can strengthen their attacking options as they target success both locally and in African competitions.
For Doualla, the transfer represents an important step forward in his professional career as he prepares to test himself in a new football environment and continue his development outside Cameroon.
