Cameroonian midfielder, Jean Onana Jr has completed his move to Italian Serie A side Genoa CFC.
The 25-year-old defensive midfielder sealed his move to Genoa CFC on Thursday, January 30.
In a club statement announcing the signing of Jean Onana, Genoa said the services of the defender has been secured from Besiktas.
While the loan is for the remainder of the 2024/25 football season, the Italian club will have the chance to sign Onana in a permanent deal at the end of the campaign.
“Jean Onana Jr is a new Genoa player. The midfielder born in Yaoundé on 08/01/2000 arrives from Besiktas on loan with an option to buy. Raised in his homeland in the Nkufo Academy, in his career he has also worn the shirts of Leixões, Lille, Mouscron, Bordeaux, Lens and Olympique Marseille. Onana has 10 appearances for the senior Cameroon national team. Welcome to Genoa, Jean,” the Italian club announced.
