Cameroonian Karl Etta Eyong dreams of Chelsea as Europe watches closely

Cameroon forward Karl Etta Eyong admits Chelsea holds a special place in his ambitions, as Europe’s biggest clubs track his rise at UD Levante.

The 20-year-old striker, born in Douala, speaks openly about his future while interest grows from Real Madrid, Barcelona and multiple Premier League sides.

With a contract that runs until June 2029, Eyong continues to deliver strong numbers in Spain. This season, he notched six league goals and added three assists in 12 appearances.

His progress has pushed his market value to €20 million, according to Transfermarkt, and sparked debate around his next career chapter.

Eyong insists the attention motivates him without shifting his focus away from Levante. “I’m really flattered to be linked with Barcelona and Real Madrid,” he tells GiveMeSport.

“It means a lot to me because it shows my hard work counts for something.

But I need to keep working, keep improving, and continue my journey with Levante. The future will take its own course.”

The Cameroonian international says La Liga already fulfills one of his goals.

He now targets a childhood ambition in England. “I already lived my dream playing in La Liga,” he explains, “but another dream stays with me — I want to play in the Premier League one day.”

Eyong’s connection to Stamford Bridge runs deep. “Growing up, Chelsea was the English team I watched most,” he says.

“Drogba made that club special for Africans. Eto’o played there too. Chelsea signs iconic African players, year after year.

There are many top clubs in England, but why not Chelsea? Playing for them would feel like a dream coming full circle.”

His rise has impressed scouts across Europe, but his voice carries clarity — admiration, ambition, patience, and belief shape his next move, not pressure or noise.
