Cameroonian forward Anatole Abang has completed a move to Libyan outfit Al Ittihad SC, marking his return to African football.
The 29-year-old is set to compete in the Libyan top flight after spending the last two years in the UAE Pro League with Al Bataeh, whom he joined in 2023.
“From Cameroon, like the leader’s jersey and the names of the elders carry weight on the continent, in the memories of legends Patrick Mboma and Alexis Enam, we bring you sniper Anatoly Abang,’ wrote the club.
Abang brings significant experience to his new side, having built a career across multiple continents. He rose to prominence with AS Fortuna in Cameroon before earning a move to Major League Soccer, where he featured for the New York Red Bulls.
His journey also took him to Europe with Sheriff Tiraspol in Moldova, alongside spells at several other clubs, before his most recent stint in the United Arab Emirates.
Now back on the African stage, Abang will be aiming to make an immediate impact as Al Ittihad SC look to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new campaign.
