Cameroonian footballer Stéphane Mbia Etoundi, who plays for Sevilla FC, has initiated a football tournament to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS. The first edition of the tournament is supported by Synergies Africaines and will take place from December 27 to 28, 2013, at the Renouveau stadium of the University of Yaoundé I. Eight football teams will participate in various categories, competing in semi-final matches through direct eliminations. The initiative aims to raise awareness among young people about the impact of HIV/AIDS, and the event will also include free HIV screening.
