Cameroon signed off their international friendly tournament in Australia with an impressive victory, bouncing back strongly after their previous defeat to the hosts.

David Pagou’s side delivered a commanding performance on Tuesday, as they completely overpowered their Chinese opponents, sealing the result early with a dominant first-half display. The Cameroonian team showed intent from the outset, controlling proceedings and making their superiority count on the scoreboard.

Karl Etta Eyong opened the scoring in the 3rd minute, finishing off a well-worked move after being set up by Nagida Aboubakar. The early breakthrough set the tone for the match, with Cameroon immediately taking control and pushing forward with confidence.

Just six minutes later, Saidou Alioum Moubarak doubled the lead in the 9th minute, capitalizing on another incisive assist, this time from Konrad Nifanso Sinyam. With two quick goals inside the opening 10 minutes, the Indomitable Lions left their opponents reeling and firmly in charge of the contest.

Despite efforts from both sides to alter the scoreline, neither team managed to find the back of the net again for the remainder of the match. Cameroon remained disciplined and organized, managing the game effectively to secure a comfortable win.

However, the match was not without controversy. Cameroon’s head coach David Pagou was shown a red card for dissent, while defender Stephane Keller also received his marching orders after picking up a second yellow card for a foul.

The dismissals added a dramatic twist to an otherwise dominant performance, highlighting a frustrating end to an otherwise successful outing for the team. Despite the disciplinary setbacks, the Indomitable Lions demonstrated their quality and resilience, ending their Australian tour on a high note.

The victory serves as a positive boost for Cameroon as they continue preparations for upcoming international competitions, with the team showing encouraging signs both in attack and overall team cohesion.
