Cameroon is gearing up for its journey to Brazil with a friendly match against Portugal in the Portuguese city of Leiria, just 100 days before the start of the World Cup. However, the Indomitable Lions faced some setbacks during their preparations.
During their training session on Monday, several key players, including Samuel Eto’o, were absent. Eto’o, along with Henri Bedimo, Benoit Assou-Ekotto, and Landry Nguemo, missed the training session and were reportedly receiving treatment from the physiotherapist. However, Eto’o is expected to join the team on Tuesday.
Originally planned to be held in Lille, the match against Portugal was relocated to the Magalhaes Pessoa stadium in Leiria due to scheduling conflicts with the France-Netherlands match in France. The French Federation declined to host both matches on the same day to avoid competition.
Despite these challenges, the Indomitable Lions are determined to kick off their campaign for the World Cup on a positive note and will face a tough test against Portugal in their upcoming friendly match.
