Cameroon has officially launched preparations for its hosting of two major continental football tournaments: the 2016 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) and the 2019 Men’s Africa Cup of Nations. This initiative was solidified by a presidential decree signed by President Paul Biya, creating the National Committee for the Preparation of these events.

Ministries: Public Works, Telecommunications, Sports, Urban Planning, Water and Energy, Finance, Economy, Transport, Public Health, Defense, and others.

Agencies handling public procurement, land registry, youth, arts and culture, and communication.

City governments where matches will be hosted.

The Committee will be automatically dissolved no later than three months after the conclusion of the 2019 CAN.
