Cameroon international Devis Epassy has officially ended his spell with Cypriot side Karmiotissa to begin a fresh chapter in Romania with Dinamo Bucharest.
The 32-year-old goalkeeper confirmed his transfer via social media, posting, as of today, I’m at Dinamo Bucharest, on his official Instagram page.
Although the Romanian club is yet to formally announce the signing, Epassy’s own confirmation signals the beginning of a new journey in his professional career.
Sources close to the deal indicate that the veteran shot-stopper has committed to a two-year contract, which would keep him at Dinamo Bucharest until the summer of 2027.
It marks the third different European league he will compete in, following previous stints in France and Cyprus.
Epassy, who made a name for himself during his time with OFI Crete and Abha Club before moving to Karmiotissa, brings a wealth of experience to the Romanian side.
Known for his agility and shot-stopping ability, the Cameroonian has also represented his country at major international tournaments, including the Africa Cup of Nations.
Financial details of the deal suggest that Epassy will earn a monthly salary of €15,000, along with a signing bonus reported to be around €100,000.
The figures underline Dinamo Bucharest’s confidence in his capabilities as they aim to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
The move comes at a significant point in Epassy’s career, as he looks to re-establish himself in European football after a modest campaign in Cyprus.
With Dinamo Bucharest seeking greater stability between the posts, the Cameroonian is expected to play a crucial role in the club’s ambitions going forward.
His transition to Romania adds to a growing list of African players exploring opportunities in Eastern Europe, where competitive leagues continue to attract experienced talents.
For Epassy, the decision to join Dinamo Bucharest is both a fresh challenge and an opportunity to prove his consistency at a high level.
As the club prepares for the upcoming domestic campaign, all eyes will be on the Cameroonian to see if he can replicate his previous form and become a key figure in the Romanian capital.
