Sepp Blatter, the head of FIFA, has been in Cameroon since Sunday to attend the inauguration of the CAF (Confederation of African Football) technical center of excellence in Mbakomo. His visit was marked by grand receptions and ceremonies, with Blatter being warmly welcomed alongside Issa Hayatou, the head of CAF. The Swiss football official received honors comparable to those of a head of state, including traditional cultural activities and the presentation of gifts.
Blatter’s visit also included an audience with Cameroonian President Paul Biya. The inauguration of the CAF Center of Excellence was a significant event, attended by dignitaries and officials from both FIFA and CAF.
