Cameroon defender Yvan Dibango joins LASK

Cameroonian defender Yvan Dibango has completed a free transfer move to Austrian Bundesliga side LASK following the expiration of his contract with Ukrainian club Kryvbas.

The 24-year-old has signed a three-year deal with the Linz-based outfit, with the agreement running until 2029, as LASK continue to strengthen their squad with young, experienced international talent.

Dibango arrives in Austria after a spell in Ukraine where he gained valuable top-flight experience and developed his defensive qualities in a demanding competitive environment. His move represents the next step in his career as he prepares to test himself in a new league.

LASK view the Cameroonian as a long-term addition to their defensive unit, with the club confident that his physical presence, tactical awareness, and international background will add depth and quality to their back line.

Speaking after completing his move, Dibango expressed excitement about the challenge ahead and his eagerness to begin life in Austria.

“I can’t wait to play here at the Raiffeisen Arena in front of the LASK fans for the first time,” he said. “We’ve had some very good discussions, and I’m convinced that LASK is the ideal club for me to develop further and take the next step in my career. I’m already looking forward to getting to know my future teammates.”

The defender is expected to integrate quickly into the squad as LASK prepare for the upcoming season, with hopes that his arrival will strengthen their defensive options both domestically and in European competition.

For Dibango, the move marks an important milestone — a chance to establish himself in one of Europe’s competitive leagues and continue his steady rise on the continental stage.
