This morning brought the unfortunate news of the passing of Louis-Paul Mfédé, the former player for Stade Rennais (from 1983 to 1987) and Canon Yaoundé. The Cameroonian footballer succumbed to a lung infection.
Louis-Paul Mfédé played a crucial role in Cameroon’s football history, notably contributing to the team’s advancement to the quarter-finals in the 1990 and 1994 FIFA World Cups alongside renowned players like Roger Milla and François Oman-Biyik. Additionally, he was part of the squad that clinched victory in the 1988 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN). Louis-Paul Mfédé passed away at the age of 52.
