Cameroon coach David Pagou names 26-man Indomitable Lions squad for international break

Cameroon coach David Pagou has named a 26-player Indomitable Lions squad for the upcoming international break, with three goalkeepers, 11 defenders, eight midfielders and four forwards selected.

The squad was announced on September 7, 2026, as the Indomitable Lions prepare for their upcoming international matches.

Three goalkeepers have been included in Pagou’s selection. Simon Brady Ngapandouetnbu of Montpellier HSC, Blondy Rudolph Nna Noukeu of US Boulogne and Emile Merlin Lako Wendeu of Marumo Gallants FC make up the goalkeeping options.

Defence accounts for the largest group in the squad, with 11 players receiving call-ups.

Darlin Yongwa of Norwich leads the defensive selection, alongside Mahamadou Nagida of Rennes and Junior Samuel Kotto of Stade de Reims. Emmanuel Moungam A Ngon, who plays for Landskrona BoIS, has also been included.

Jackson Tchatchoua of Wolverhampton is another defensive option, while Stéphane Paul Keller of SK Beveren, Che Malone Fondoh Junior of UMS Alger and Kevin Keben of FC Watford also feature.

The remaining defenders are Duplex Tchamba Bangou of Clube do Remo, Lilian Paul René Njoh of Servette FC and Junior Baptiste Tchamadeu of Stoke City.

Pagou has selected eight midfielders for the international break, with Bryan Mbeumo of Manchester United among the players called up.

Saidou Alioum Moubarak of FK Jablonec, Arthur Avom of FC Lorient and Donfack Ryan Gloire Fosso of Standard de Liège are also part of the midfield group.

Mael Fernandez Monyebe of Espérance de Tunis, Danny Namaso of AJ Auxerre, Harouna Djibirin of Angers SCO and David Roy Nyengue of Espérance de Zarzis complete the midfield selection.

Four forwards have been chosen to lead the attack. Karl Edouard Blaise Etta Eyong of UD Levante is joined by Dorinel Angel Yondjo of LOSC Lille, Nsongo Tonfack Bii Dornoi of Deportivo La Coruna and Christian Michel Kofane of Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

The 26 players selected by Pagou represent the squad that will take part in Cameroon’s upcoming international matches during the break.
