Cameroon national football team secured a convincing 2-0 victory over China national football team in the FIFA Series on March 31, responding strongly to their recent defeat against Australia.

After falling 1-0 in their previous outing, Cameroon arrived at AAMI Park in Melbourne determined to make an immediate impact.

Under the guidance of David Pagou, the Indomitable Lions delivered an explosive start that ultimately defined the outcome of the match.

The breakthrough came early, with Etta Eyong opening the scoring in the third minute after being set up by Mahamadou Nagida.

Just six minutes later, Cameroon doubled their advantage when Saïdou Alioum Moubarak found the net, finishing a move initiated by Konrad Nifanso Sinyam.

The early goals gave Cameroon control, allowing them to manage the tempo of the game despite occasional attempts from China.

The first half concluded without further additions to the scoreline, as both teams struggled to convert their chances.

Following the interval, China increased their attacking intent, introducing several changes in an effort to shift momentum. However, despite creating opportunities, they were unable to break down Cameroon’s defence.

The latter stages of the match were marked by disciplinary incidents involving Cameroon. A tense exchange led to the dismissal of coach David Pagou for dissent, while Stéphane Keller was sent off in stoppage time after receiving a second yellow card following a challenge with Baihelamu Abuduwaili.

Despite finishing the game under pressure, Cameroon held firm to secure a 2-0 victory. The result provides a positive response to their earlier setback and offers momentum as they continue their FIFA Series campaign.
