England born forward with Ghanaian descent, Callum Hudson-Odoi is keen on representing the Three Lions although he has been approached by officials of Ghana.
The forward scored with a good finish over the weekend to propel Nottingham Forest to defeat Manchester City by a lone goal in the English Premier League.
Speaking in a post-match interview with TNT Sports, Callum Hudson-Odoi was asked about a potential invitation to play for England in the March international break.
In his response, the attacker said he is not in a rush but wants to play well consistently in hopes that he will earn his England call-up.
“I knew that question was coming,” he responded. “I think for me, I will take it game by game. No matter what decision happens—if I get picked or if I don’t—I just have to make sure I keep doing what I’m doing, stay consistent, and that will come. Just taking it game by game, and hopefully, you never know what happens,” Odoi said.
The former Chelsea player remains eligible to play for the Black Stars of Ghana. However, his priority is to represent the England national team.
