Italian Serie A side Cagliari Calcio are reportedly preparing a move to bring Ghanaian midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana back to the club.
According to transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Cagliari are keen to strengthen their midfield and have identified Sulemana as a key target. The Ghanaian midfielder joined Atalanta in the summer of 2024 but spent the first half of the 2025/26 season on loan at Bologna.
The proposed deal would see Sulemana return to Sardinia on loan with an option to buy, with the overall agreement valued at €11 million. An understanding has already been reached between the clubs involved.
Sulemana has found opportunities limited during his spell at Bologna under coach Vincenzo Italiano, managing just four appearances and a total of 112 minutes across Serie A and the Coppa Italia.
A move back to Cagliari could offer the Ghanaian midfielder the chance to revive his season with more consistent playing time, while the club looks to reinforce its squad for the remainder of the campaign.
