In anticipation of the highly awaited commencement of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Africa’s premier football event set to unfold in Ivory Coast, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has revealed the official squad lists for the 24 qualified teams this Saturday.
The opening match is slated to happen in Abidjan on January 13, 2023.
Complying with recently instituted regulations, each Participating Member Association (PMA) has the freedom to submit a final squad of up to 27 players.
However, only 23 players from this roster can be chosen for each match throughout the tournament.
Noteworthy is the provision that a player included in the final squad can only be replaced in the event of a severe injury, and such substitution must be made no later than 24 hours before the team’s first match.
