CAF (Confederation of African Football) has announced that the group stage of African club competitions, including the African Champions League and the Confederation Cup, will commence in May. This decision is made in consideration of the upcoming Football World Cup scheduled from June 12 to July 13. Typically, the group stage starts at the same time, but this adjustment aims to avoid conflicts with the World Cup schedule. The preliminary rounds are set to begin in February, and participating teams have until January 15 to submit their lists of registered players.
