CAF ruling moves Asante Kotoko’s crucial encounter with Wydad to Accra Sports Stadium

Asante Kotoko SC has confirmed a significant update for fans eagerly anticipating their CAF Confederation Cup clash with Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club.

The club regrets to announce that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has declined approval for the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to host the upcoming fixture. Instead, the pivotal first-leg tie will be played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, October 19, 2025, with the match set to kick off at 3:00 pm.

While the decision is disappointing for local supporters in Kumasi, Kotoko is committed to ensuring a memorable event in Accra and will share further details about the match soon. The change in venue, however, has not dampened the team’s momentum.
