The President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Patrice Motsepe, is scheduled to visit Morocco next Thursday as part of a four-nation tour, including São Tomé and Príncipe, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau.
According to a statement released by CAF on its official website, Motsepe, the head of African football’s governing body, will arrive in São Tomé on Sunday night, commencing his working visit on Monday morning.
During his stay, he will visit the headquarters of the São Tomé and Príncipe Football Federation and meet with other sports stakeholders in the country.
He will also meet with the Head of State, Carlos Vila Nova.
The statement further clarified that Motsepe will travel to Equatorial Guinea next Tuesday to hold a meeting with football officials in the morning.
In the afternoon, he will pay a courtesy visit to the Head of State, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
The same source confirmed that Motsepe will then proceed to Guinea-Bissau on Wednesday, where he will also meet with football officials and the Head of State, Umaro Sissoco Embaló.
Motsepe will conclude his tour by attending the opening of the African Futsal Cup “Morocco 2024” on Thursday in Rabat.
It is worth noting that the African Futsal Cup competitions are scheduled to take place from April 11 to 21, at both the Ibn Yassine Arena and the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat.
