Tout Puissant Mazembe suffered their first defeat in the group stage of the Confederations Cup on Friday as they faced Club Bizertin in Tunisia. The Ravens, who had been dominant in previous matches, experienced a 0-1 loss.
The decisive moment in the match occurred in the 88th minute when Yassine Salhi’s shot resulted in an unfortunate mistake by Robert Kidiaba, the Congolese goalkeeper for TP Mazembe. This led to Club Bizertin securing a victory, much to the delight of CAB.
Following this result, Bizerte now leads Group B of the CAF Confederations Cup with 5 points, while Mazembe is in second place with 4 points. The other two teams in the group, FUS Rabat and Entente Sétif, are scheduled to face each other in Morocco on Sunday.
