CAF Confederation Cup 2015: Preliminary Round Kicks Off with 56 Teams

Just a week after the climax of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, African club football resumes with the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup. A total of 56 clubs are participating in this stage of the competition.

🏆 Clubs Exempted from Preliminary Round

Eight clubs have been granted byes to the next round based on their CAF ranking and past performance:

  • ASEC Mimosas (Ivory Coast)

  • Zamalek SC (Egypt)

  • FUS Rabat (Morocco)

  • Djoliba AC (Mali)

  • AS Vita Club (DR Congo)

  • Ahli Shendi (Sudan)

  • Club Africain (Tunisia)

  • Etoile Sportive du Sahel (Tunisia)

  • Orlando Pirates (South Africa)
