Horoya de Conakry Set for CAF Cup Challenge in Algeria Against ASO Chlef
Horoya de Conakry has arrived in Algeria full of determination ahead of their CAF Cup Round of 32 second leg against ASO Chlef. Following their victory in the first leg, the Guinean club is confident about securing a place in the next round and has been preparing intensively for the challenge.
To ensure optimal preparation, the team undertook a training camp in Morocco before traveling to Algeria. Coach Mohamed Kanfory remains calm and optimistic about his squad’s chances. “We will try to contain the Chlefians by trying, why not, to surprise them at home,” said Kanfory. “We have carefully studied the strengths and weaknesses of ASO, which has recovered well recently after a difficult run in the championship.”
Despite the tough opposition, Kanfory believes that Horoya’s preparation has positioned them well for the match. “The game will not be easy for both teams, but we have prepared accordingly,” he added.
With only a few changes to the squad that won the first leg in Bamako, Horoya is ready for the challenge. Two players who were initially denied entry visas to Morocco were able to join the squad in Chlef, strengthening the team’s resolve for Friday’s crucial encounter.
