AS Douanes of Togo secured their spot in the second round of the CAF Cup after defeating Club Industriel de Kamsar in the first leg and drawing in the return match. Despite several missed opportunities by the local club in the first half, Ibrahima Sory Bangoura’s powerful shot hit the post, denying CIK a chance to take the lead.
In the second half, AS Douanes took control, with Tawali Magnima scoring a brilliant free kick to put his team ahead. However, CIK managed to equalize late in the game through Alkhaly Sylla’s header.
With this result, AS Douanes advances to face Egyptian club Wadi Degla in the next round, while Club Industriel de Kamsar exits the competition. The Togolese team will look to continue their success against tough opposition in the upcoming matches.
