The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially announced the dates for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, to be hosted by Morocco, taking place later next year.
Following a meeting of the CAF Executive Office in Marrakech, it was confirmed that the tournament will commence with the opening match on December 21, 2025, and conclude with the final on January 18, 2026.
This announcement aligns with preparations for what promises to be an exceptional edition of Africa’s most prestigious football tournament.
Morocco, a nation with a rich footballing history, will host the competition for the second time, having last done so in 1988.
That edition witnessed Cameroon claim the title, leaving an indelible mark on African football.
