CAF Confederation Cup: USM Alger–San Pédro set for group-stage curtain-raiser

The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) officially confirmed the kick-off times and final dates for the 2025/26 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

The announcement sets the stage for a high-stakes knockout phase featuring some of the continent’s most decorated clubs as they compete for a place in the semi-finals scheduled for April.

The quarter-final stage will be played over two legs, with the first-leg matches taking place on March 14 and 15, followed by the decisive return legs on March 21 and 22.

Among the standout fixtures is a highly anticipated Moroccan derby between Olympique Club Safi and Wydad AC. The first leg of this domestic clash is scheduled for March 15 at 22:00 GMT, with the return leg set for March 22 at 19:00 GMT.

Defending champions Zamalek SC of Egypt will begin their knockout campaign away against Congo’s AS Otohô on March 14 at 13:00 GMT. The Egyptian giants, who topped Group D, will then host the return leg in Cairo on March 22 at 16:00 GMT.

Another North African powerhouse, USM Alger, is slated to face DR Congo’s AS Maniema Union. Their first leg is confirmed for March 15 at 13:00 GMT, with the second leg following on March 22 at 19:00 GMT.

Rounding out the fixtures, Egypt’s Al Masry SC will face Algerian side CR Belouizdad. This tie kicks off on March 14 at 20:00 GMT, with the second leg scheduled for March 21 at 19:00 GMT.

The winners of these four matchups will advance to the semi-finals, with the first-leg games planned for April 10–12 and the second legs for April 17–19, 2026.
