CAF Confederation Cup: Zamalek SC announces squad for Zesco United clash

Zamalek SC head coach Moataz Gamal has revealed the squad that will travel to Zambia for their CAF Confederation Cup clash against Zesco United.

The Egyptian giants face Zesco United at 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 8, at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in the fifth round of Group D fixtures.

The travelling squad notably misses Abdullah Al-Saeed, among others, and is composed as follows:

Goalkeepers: Mohamed Sobhi, Mahdi Suleiman, Mahmoud El Shenawy

Defenders: Ahmed Khodary, Mahmoud Hamdy “El Wensh,” Hossam Abdel Meguid, Mohamed Ismail, El Sayed Osama, Mohamed Ibrahim, Baron Ochieng

Midfielders: Mohamed Shehata, Mohamed El Sayed, Youssef Wael “Fransi,” Mohamed Hamad, Ahmed Abdel Rahim “Esho,” Ahmed Hamdi, Adam Kayed, Ahmed Sherif

Forwards: Nasser Mansi, Uday Al-Dabbagh

Zamalek currently leads Group D following a 2-1 win over Al Masry Al Port Said in their previous group stage match.

The White Knights also continued their strong domestic form with a 5-2 away victory over Ismaily Electricity in the Egyptian Premier League last Wednesday.
