Wydad Casablanca made a commanding start to their 2025/2026 CAF Confederation Cup campaign on Sunday, sweeping aside Kenya’s Nairobi United with a comfortable 3-0 victory at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca.

The Moroccan giants wasted no time asserting themselves, taking the lead in the 3rd minute when Ayoub Boucheta finished calmly after a well-weighted pass from Thembinkosi Lorch.

Their control continued throughout the first half, and Mohamed Bouchouari doubled Wydad’s advantage in the 44th minute, giving them a firm grip on the match at the break.

In the second half, Wydad maintained their momentum and sealed the contest in the 86th minute through Mohamed Rayhi, whose late strike confirmed a complete and confident performance from the home side.

With this emphatic win, Wydad move top of Group B on goal difference ahead of Maniema Union, who earlier secured a home victory over Tanzanian club Azam FC.

The matchday also saw Algerian side USM Alger claim a 3-2 nervy win against Ivorian side San Pedro.
